Expansion Joints

Expansion joints are often installed in piping and duct systems and can serve the following purpose:

  • Compensate thermal expansion or contraction
  • Reduce forces and moments on equipment connections
  • Isolate vibration from connected systems
  • Compensate misalignment
  • Compensate foundation settlement
