Safety Spray shields

Safety shields are commonly used in chemical plants to prevent injury to personnel, damage to environment or surrounding equipment in the event of leak or spray-out of hazardous chemicals from flanged connections or valve packing failures. Their purpose is to temporarily contain hazardous leaks and sprays.

Flange shields

Flange Spray shields are constructed from Teflon, polypropylene, PVC, polyethylene, stainless steel and other material depending on the applications. Spray shields for flanges are often referred to as flange guards, flange covers, flange diapers or flange protectors. An overlap design protects against frontal and lateral sprayouts and must be usually specified.

Flange guards are also manufacured with drain nipple.

Valve shields

Valve shields are customized to fit all types of valves including butterfly, gate, globe, check, ball, plug valves and control valves. Valve shields can be fabricated from variety of materials PTFE, PVC, PP, PE and metal. Valve shields are available as :

• Cloth valve shields.
• Metal valve shields.
